Einar Stray - Teppet Faller Genre: indie, singer-songwriter, acoustic
The Norwegian singer-songwriter Einar Stray has truly found the recipe to making lovely and minimalistic indie music; something I think Kim Hiorthøy would sound like if he went indie — with a little hint of Sufjan Stevens and Efterklang. His newer stuff is far more indie poppy than the song above, though, but I actually think I like his lo-fi stuff better. I saw Einar Stray live for the first time this summer at Trænafestivalen, playing in a tiny chapel holding only around twenty people. I was really captured by his music and realized that I simply couldn’t deny it anymore: this guy is a genius (all though a little too high on himself, I think).
